Full Description
This annual subscription includes cloud-based access to a database of loss coefficient tables for more than 200 round, rectangular, and flat oval duct fittings. Featuring pictorial outlines of each fitting, this database is useful to design engineers dealing with a variety of duct fittings. For any given fitting, the user may enter the flow rate and fitting information and obtain loss coefficient data and associated pressure loss. The product includes table data for supply, exhaust, and common (supply/return) duct functions. Fittings may be saved into a project file, which is easily navigated and can be stored and transferred. This database interface features fully available input, output, calculations, and table data properties; and easily viewable calculations that update in real time.

Hello, The following is from the ABS 2006 Help file: Titled: 'Assigning an ASHRAE fitting number using the Properties palette' The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) publishes a database that includes loss coefficient tables for many duct fittings. Each duct fitting in the database is identified by a unique number. If the ASHRAE number you want to use is in the list, select it for Assigned Engineering ID. NOTE If there is more than one ASHRAE number to choose from, consult the ASHRAE Duct Fitting Database to make sure you choose the most appropriate fitting for your system.
Some fittings are dependent on flow direction or duct system type, such as supply or exhaust. If the ASHRAE number you want is not in the list, or there are no numbers listed, enter the ASHRAE fitting number for Assigned Engineering ID. End of ABS Help File information My Customer would like to know where is the ASHRAE Duct Fitting Database located that is indicated in ABS 2006 and HOW does a User determine WHICH ASHREA Duct fitting to use if given MORE THAN ONE option of fitting to choose from? Thanks for your time and I look forward to your responses!
HVAC ASHRAE DFDB Help The HVAC ASHRAE Duct Fitting Database (DFDB) universal app for the iPhone and iPad was developed for ASHRAE. It allows you to perform pressure loss calculations for all 240+ supply, common, and return/exhaust ASHRAE fittings listed in the ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals.
The app now adjusts its user interface for either the iPhone or iPad. In addition, it is compatible with the latest version of iOS that runs on the newest iPhone/iPads. (Please Note: As of Spring 2017, we have updated the app to coincide with all of the 50+ updates to the desktop-based Duct Fitting Database application that have been implemented over the past 7 years. These include scores of new fittings, many updates to existing fittings, and much, much more. Click for a list of all of the latest updates to the DFDB app.) This app is based upon the popular ASHRAE Duct Fitting Database desktop application, and you can do pretty much everything in this app that you can do in the desktop program. The advantage of this mobile app is that you can easily use it out in the field to do quick duct pressure loss calculations then email the results to your desktop for further analysis.

Search: From any of the selection screens, you can select the search icon located in the upper right-hand corner to display the search form. This form allows you to search for any fitting by typing in the fitting key. As you type in the key, the list of fittings will expand or contract depending upon the match criteria. Elstat ems 55 advanced instructions.
For example, if you type in 'SD2-', it will display a list of fittings that satisfy this criteria. Once you type in 'SD2-2', then just the one fitting will display in the list. Then, you can select this fitting to go directly to the SD2-2 input/result forms. Category and Fitting List Screens When you select a fitting category (such as 'Supply Fittings') from the project input form, it will then display a list of the main suppy fitting categories seen in the screenshot below. Next, you can select any of these fitting categories, to further drill down to more specific supply fitting categories or even the supply fittings, themselves. A fitting category is specified by an icon with a folder that contains a 90 degree elbow.
A fitting is specified by an icon with a 90 degree elbow (no folder). When you select a supply fitting, itself, the next screen will display the inputs and results for that fitting (discussed below). Fitting Input/Result Screens The fitting input and result screens are displayed when you select a fitting name from any of the category screens discussed above. The following screenshots display typical fitting input screens: The inputs and results are spread out over multiple screens.
To navigate from one screen to another swipe the screen from left to right with your finger. Depending upon the fitting type, user inputs may appear on multiple screens. Each input allows you to specify a value by either typing a value directly into the textbox or moving the indicator along the slider control located below the textbox so as to increase and decrease the value by a specific step value (specified in the settings form discussed below).
As you input the values, the results update immediately. For example, at the bottom of all of the user input screens, a couple of the summary results will appear such as the coefficient of loss and the total pressure loss.
The complete list of all results is always located on the 2nd to last screen. This list of results is similar to what is displayed in the desktop-based version of the Duct Fitting Database software. The following is a sample screenshot of a results screen: This screen also displays the 'Reports' option which takes you to a new screen from which you can display 2 reports: • Inputs and Results: Select this report to display a list of all of the inputs and results along with units, values, labels, and even a fitting graphic. Buddha Bar Mp3 Download. This report can be sent as an HTML email along with a spreadsheet attachment. • Parameters and Equations: Select this report to display general information about the selected fitting including fitting name, description, input and output labels and units, equations used to calculate the results, and a fitting image. This report can be sent as an HTML email along with a spreadsheet attachment.
The final screen always displays a fitting graphic: Individual Fitting Settings This form is accessed by pressing the 'i' button located in the upper right-hand corner of the fitting input/results screens. The fitting settings form allows you to specify minimum/maximum and step values for all fitting inputs. When you return to the main input form, the min, max, and step values will all update.
Global Settings Tab This form can be accessed by selecting the 'Global Settings' tab on the home-page screen that first appears when you start the HVAC ASHRAE DFDB application. The following is an explanation of each of the inputs: • Units: This selector allows you to specify whether to display all values in IP (Imperial or English) or SI (Metric) units. When you return to the main input forms, all values will reflect the new units. • Air Temperature (F or C): Input the temperature of the ambient air. This affects the pressure loss calculations.
